What are you on about? GMB's theme is far from generic and that opening clarion is very distinct. It's also amazingly flexible as shown by the amount of reworkings there's been which all still sound like the GMB theme.

It does sound too generic. Simple as. Don't get me wrong I like it but it's kind of meh. If you go listen to all of GMTVs before 2010 they were much more memorable catchy lively and actually really nice to listen to.

Just out of interest Does anyone know how the GMB set was built? Are most sets designed and built outside TLS then fitted at studio? GMBs definitely isn't a moveable one is it like Lorraine's?

There was a time-lapse video of the set being build, but it appears to be unavailable now. The GMB set is a fixed set in Studio 5.

Maybe Richard Madeley could do it?

Agreed, the main sting melody is memorable. Does anyone else think we'll have another theme mix to go with GMB Today?

I don't know if generic is the right word but it doesn't really have much of a tune to signify the programme and therefore it lacks identity. If you went and asked 100 people to sing the Good Morning Britain tune, the number would be quite low. It's no This Morning or GMTV.

I would guess it'd be the Buzz version or the 2015 paino fluffy version. I was going t say I couldn't imagine them commissioning a new version for GMB Today but then again they did for that 90s remix and pathe news versions.

The "GMB Daily" fan page on Twitter is saying she heard an advert after ITV News that said Susanna was presenting from Barcelona tomorrow? Anyone confirm this advert exists or is this just total speculation?
