To be honest I only mentioned the studio set/relocation of Lorraine because of how many different looks the show has had in the last few years. Just don't see why a new look and set is needed nearly everytime she's off for 6 weeks.

Do they have anybody more likely to do a good job? Richard is an experienced journalist and newsreader, albeit perhaps not so experienced in breaking news, I'm sure he will be a safe pair of hands

Exactly, plus you've got the fact that the incident won't be breaking news by tomorrow. I'm sure Richard could handle a breaking story effectively however. Sean has slowly been improving with the newsreading role as well.

I don't really see the point in sending a presenter out there, a correspondent could do the job as good as a presenter could. I guess they could send Kate, Charlotte or Ranvir if they wanted to.

Hasn't the current set been the same since GMB's launch in April 2014 bar a few little updates?

I agree. I was just wondering what others thought

Yes. Same set since launch. Still don't think a new one is needed. Anyone know who used to make the GMTV theme tunes?

Instead of bringing in 'big names' who are unlikely to want to stay, why not try to give those from the ITV regions/ITV News a chance to host? There seems to be a real gap in talent within ITV at the moment. The BBC are excellent at promoting from within - Tina Daheley hosting Breakfast this morning is a good example. Daheley has slowly worked her way up gaining experience, and would make an excellent main host of Breakfast in the future. In my opinion, ITV should be letting the likes of Kylie Pentalow and Lucrezia Millirani gain more experience. Maybe then they wouldn't have to rely on bringing in people who (with all due respect) have had already achieved excellent careers, and are now moving towards retirement.

The two broadcasters are not comparable, The BBC has many more outlets and many more levels to climb up. On ITV you'd be having a regional host going straight in to the main flagship slot. There is no shortage of talent at ITV, all roles are filled and getting guest hosts in for the summer is a perfectly valid road to take.

Aren't the two names you mention already busy hosting their own regions and filling in for ITV News, why do you think they'd want to do GMB as well?

Do you rekon they’ll have Richard on tomorrow or another presenter due to the terror attack

Bigger, perhaps more applicable question in this case, do you think they will deploy a presenter to the location?

Do they leave Richard alone in the studio? Sit side by side with Sean?

Although good to see them finally using Sean (I thought he had left actually) if anyone of the three planned hosts needed replacing tomorrow it would arguably be Sean considering he's supposedly in the newsreader role and Ranvir or Charlotte if available would be more suited for a serious news story.

If you look at American breakfast shows they always have music performances. Especially from British artists. I personally think it would bring in more viewers if they had promos during the daytime to say for example Dua Lipa will be performing her new single LIVE or The Vamps, Arcade Fire, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles. Plenty of choices out there.

Live band performances kill ratings. Fact.
London Lite and bilky asko gave kudos

They should get David Arch back to create GMBs next theme tune. The current GMB one is so generic just like Daybreaks was. GMTVs was excellent.

He's now Strictly's Musical Director. I doubt he'd be inclined.
