Good Morning Britain

First of all, Becky Mantin was fantastic this morning. Really suits the GMB format.

In other GMB news, Sharon Thomas had issues during the regional London bulletin just after 7am.

I wonder if Becky will be GMB's second in line after Alex when Laura is on Maternity Leave.

Or maybe Lucy Versamy may want to make a temporary return to the mornings.

Absolutely agree about Becky - to the first-time viewer, she could have been part of the team of 'regulars'.


Sharon didn't start speaking until almost twenty seconds into her allotted time, yet they went back to GMB at the correct time - how did that happen? Did she miss out a couple of stories at the end to keep the timings correct?

Either ITN got their backtiming wrong as the mic wasn't faded up at the start or Sharon didn't hear the cue as she could clearly see herself in the monitor showing GMB.

Friday's 7am TOTH. Somebody accidentally played two music stings on top of each other and it actually sounded okay:

That is actually the only time it will sound okay when 2 stings are played at the same time.

I missed Sunday's airing of Sharknado 5 but apparently the cast of Good Morning Britain make a cameo on the SyFy franchise. Sharknado 5 airs Monday night at 21:10 on SyFy UK.

Edit : Just saw the London GMB opt hiccup at the top of the page. Aren't the the opts prerecorded - if so how was that not catched?

I don't think Kyle is doing too badly this morning and as I expected is decent at the interviews, still holding the politicians to account. Been rather devise on Twitter with some people saying they don't like him shouting and to bring back Piers. Slightly contradictory.

Opts are live due to the fact that they bring travel news. Weather is usually pre-recorded though.
