Wasn't there a joint ITN/TV-am effort one year for the election? Robert Kee at Eggcup House and a presenter at ITN IIRC.

His stint at ITN began with First Report, which is exactly what the programme was before it became the News at 12:30/1:00 and then the Lunchtime News. He was one of the Famous Five, who launched TV-AM.

This video from 1987 shows a handover from Alastair Stewart at ITN to Anne Diamond at TV-AM. There seems to have been ITN news bulletins in the TV-AM coverage, as well as regional inserts. The TV-AM coverage was co-hosted by their Political Editor Adam Boulton.

Yes, in 1983, the 6-9.25 slot was billed as an ITN/TVam co-production, with Robert Kee at Eggcup Towers and Martyn Lewis at ITN, I've got the TV Times for that week. The first few minutes used to be online somewhere.

In 1992, however, Channel 4 between 6 and 9.25 was sold as the "official" continuation of the ITN coverage, obviously ITN were producing most of the Channel 4 Daily at the time. I think Dermot Murnaghan and Caroline Righton from the Daily anchored it, with various ITN people.

The schedules for the day after confirm that ITN's bulletins alongside ITV's Regional bulletins were shown during TV-am. TV-am on this occasion were also on air until 9:35am.

Not just at election time either. At the end of each News At Ten they'd squeeze in a plug for C4 Daily.

They used a new graphic on Friday during the Charlie Puth interview which I thought was very nice and could be used for the TOTH as well to add some extra animation. Here's a clip:

Just wondering what people's thoughts are.

EDIT - Mind the poor quality, I screen recorded that from the hub

I actually really like them. I'm sure I've seen those graphics before though since the refresh. Its definitely got that American feel now.
