Exactly - they do have it pretty easy but that's the nature of the gig. The 3/4 day week especially seems to be rather unique to British TV, but extended holidays isn't.
I think the problem they have is that unlike Breakfast their chosen B-team isn't that great. At least this week they're prioritising the more credible Charlotte over Kate but Ben is such the opposite of Piers he just doesn't give the show the edge that Piers does, something which Eamonn will be able to do with little effort (and in a completely different way).

I actually prefer Eamonn presenting with Charlotte more than Kate. The chemistry between them two is better and they just work well as a presenting pair.

Thing is though is that even on GMTV Kate and Eamonn didn't ever present together that often, it was just when Fiona was away.
Though it could be worse... He could be partnered up with Anthea Turner. Though I do understand that they've kissed and made up now.
Would love Charlotte and Eamonn to take over permanently from Ben and Kate. You can tell they have a natural chemistry/friendship, unlike Kate and Eamonn.

Eamonn and Charlotte have received lots of positive comments on social media (although that could be down to the absence of Piers!).
Charlotte said on Instagram she'll be live in Torquay tomorrow, presumably on the Election trail. It seems strange they are sending Charlotte out, leaving Ranvir to present with Eamonn. Although it seems they want to find out who works best presenting with Eamonn.
