And there is the TOTH of GMB at 6am.
First time ITV take the air 7 hours after an attack on Britain ....

Probably recorded, but the continuity on the ident was unnecessary.

Definitely recorded, but since this happened overnight I can imagine that there wasn't enough time/wasn't picked up that the link needed to be dropped from the TX schedule.

I feel like the theme feels totally inappropriate for the seriousness of the story... although so does Piers Morgans 'journalistic' style...

In my opinion, I think they should've kept the old theme tune for the opener today as most of it was dedicated to the Manchester Terror Attacks anyway.

If you watch the video of the 6am TOTH below, the music sounds too upbeat for a saddening story like that:

Sounds fine to me, hard hitting news theme.

I think the last two days has shown how good GMB has started to become the dignity displayed on the close Monday a credit to them

I agree, I think as much as possible, if they move to new titles they should stay with them rather than revert back to an older version.

If anything, it shows a lack of confidence in their new theme. A morning news programme shouldn't have to change it's theme tune when there's a more serious story.

They should stick with the new theme. It would have been perfectly appropriate.

I agree. Better to stick to the current theme rather than revert back. The new theme is better than the 2015 version 2 there and it has a strong tone to it.

Credit to the team for showing human and professionalism during a very tragic and tough time especially Susannah.

The bed could have done with fading down a little, but I don't think it was inappropriate.

Seems as though Eammon Holmes is returning next week, the Radio Times listing for Tuesday has this;
Quote:
Hanson talk about celebrating their 25th anniversary with a new world tour. Presented by Eamonn Holmes, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher.
