I see they've resorted to just cutting Piers off now when required. Must be infuriating for the gallery when Piers decides to just go off on a tangent, making everything run late. Richard Arnold's slot has been the main casualty, I wouldn't be surprised if he's pretty annoyed about it.
Minor thing - the wooden side panel on the desk was wonky this morning, looked like it had been knocked off accidentally.

Both those points can only be considered good things surely.
Piers Morgan has been hired because he's Piers Morgan, not because he's a well behaved presenter who'll keep the show to time.

It creates work though. They advertise guests coming on at a certain time, then they end up somewhere completely different. Obviously somebody has had to reschedule it. Also, they frequently cut news bulletins out to make up the time and shorten the TOTH bulletins. The running order practically goes out the window. His rants certainly achieve what they are hoping for though - attention.
However, it does create other problems. Without going into timings, they had 90 seconds with one celebrity guest last week at the end of the show. 90 seconds. Can't remember who it was, but they'd be mentioning her appearance all morning. I'd be pretty annoyed if I'd got up at some unearthly hour to have a 90 second slot.

Does it really matter?
They went overtime on both the 7am and 8am openers today but they didn't use their shorter title sequence that they did last week. Maybe that wasn't permanent.

New one too cheery for the breaking news, I suppose?
GMB have come on air this morning, with Piers and Susanna in London, reverted to the old theme however.

Actually find it more newsy and current than the old newsy theme.
