I believe Studios 1 and 2 are identical in size, but may be wrong.

I would love to have an insight into how Good Morning Britain is actually made (from the gallery's point of view). I would like to see how they rehearse the openers and how the director actually directs the show! Or if not that, just seeing the openers being directed while being recorded on camera.

I've already seen the '24 Hours at GMB' video on Vimeo which I really did like but can anyone find or does anyone even know any good videos that sort of matches that description? If you do, please share it as it'll be much appreciated!

The terms might be slightly different, i.e. Super = Strap/Lower Third. But the point is still the same.

They dropped the opener at 7am due to running behind. Just used the usual board from the ad breaks to go straight to Piers and Susanna with the top story. They then went straight to Charlotte after the first package. I don't think they've ever done that before but dropping the bit between the first and second story worked well as Piers normally goes off on a tangent which breaks the flow of he headlines.

EDIT - Did it again at 8am but this time used the VO minus the date.

Same with the 8am Opener, although had the voice over 'This is GMB with Piers Morgan & Susanna Reid' with a still camera which didnt look very good. Would have been better if they played the V/O titles starting with the date. GMBs timings are awful lately.

Has it really come down to logging timings?

I think this will probably be a permanent thing from now on if they are running 2 or 3 minutes over the top of the hour. I liked how they improved it by adding the V/O in the 8am TOTH as well.

Also, I noticed that they had introduced their election backdrop on the split screen as well.

Certainly interesting how the director improvised with running over this Morning. Quite a clever decision:

Even Piers grinned slightly at 8am when the voiceover took a long time to finish even though the camera shot was static.

I actually think that they should stick with this sort of opener for the 8am TOTH. Although I think it would be better to just play the full V/O titles from the start. And also cutting straight to the newsreader after top story should also be kept.

Anyone notice the old UTV logo in the Leaders Debate studio during that live with Ranvir?

Probably because everything is being reused from 2015 and since it's a snap election, the logo isn't exactly a priority.
