This morning the opening titles read "Friday, 13th of April 2018. Live from The London Studios. This is Good Morning Britain. With Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh."
So where was this special intro then? It seemed like the usual to me.
During the intro. ITV Studios was replaced with 'The London Studios' on the VO. To be fair I completely missed it as well so I assumed nothing was happening...
Setting up for the final Good Morning Wales shift of the week. And the last one opting out of the old studios. Have a good one next week guys! ๐ @GMB@errongordonpic.twitter.com/ueRW7SpJEP

From the Yorkshire frontcap being animated into the opening titles to the star prize car having "YTV 321" on the fake number plate it's a masterclass in blending presentation and channel marketing with the programmes which Countdown would later emulate.
Thanks. I've now got the '321' theme tune trapped as an 'ear-worm'.
I used to work with an ex YTV engineer, he said Dusty Bin cost about 1000% more to build and maintain, than any of the actual real prizes were worth.
I once found a instagram video from a guy who helped ITV film them. I have no idea if the video still exists but in the video it was a typical cloudy, rainy day. He said they later had them professionally edited by Coffee & TV with the program Smoke.
From Coffee & TV:
โWe needed to deliver 2 versions โ a 6am version which reflected the warm glow of sunrise across the city and an 8am version which was designed to portray a much clearer blue sky.โ said Truss, โThis was quite a challenge as we were using the same footage for both versions with 2 shots that had been filmed on different days, but both typically grey London days so I had to use atmospheric lighting and sky replacements in order to achieve the desired result.โ
