Good Morning Britain has averaged 764k (19.6%) so far this month. This month is on course to be ITV breakfast's (06:00-08:30) best rated month since at least 2011. As it stands March 2018 is up +16% vs. March 2017, which itself was up +13% vs. March 2016. Jan (+7%) and Feb (+8%) have both been up y-o-y in 2018, meaning so far the show is rating +10% vs. the first 3 months of 2017.

Whilst BBC Breakfast is still ahead by a considerable margin, ITV getting their best rated month in nearly 7 years at breakfast time is quite an achievement.

So years and millions of pounds later, Daybreak is still best performing since GMTV. Was Kate and Dan’s tenure the most watched out of the Daybreak versions?

If daybreak was that good where did its viewers disappear to. Itv wouldn't waste more money on a good format.

You can only really say that given the year as there has been a gradual average decline even in the latter GMTV days.

That's really positive for ITV and I really hope that this growth continues. Though I know not everyone is a fan, Piers has definitely helped improve the presenter line-up and makes for really interesting viewing. I also think that the debates and discussions they have are generally a lot more interesting than what BBC Breakfast has to offer. From a personal perspective, although I rarely Breakfast or GMB live, I watch quite a lot of what GMB posts on YouTube and social media and this greater focus on social media use by GMB over Breakfast is another reason why the show has grown.

GMB have been filing their YouTube channel lately with old material, from Christmas time. They do not put up much new material on their channel

That's not a bad thing, as long as I haven't seen it before (or in a while) it's good to have - I really couldn't care less about whether a debate on gun control was shown yesterday or last year. Even on topics which are more time-specific, like before the EU referendum vote, I don't mind watching things where they were discussing what the outcome would be.

Take a shot everytime someone:

- asks when ITV Daytime are moving to TVC
- someone makes a joke about people asking
- someone makes a joke about someone making a joke about people asking

The screen behind Richard & Susanna is still moving for me.

Yes it was for a while, but the screens immediately to the side of it was still moving. Just wondering how they could have some screens playing and others not, unless the video is also split separately like the screens?

The large central screen has always been separate to the others. It's actually the screen they used to use for Daybreak's weather. Whereas the other smaller panels were bought in specifically for the windows.
