I'd gladly see Matt Barbet back at ITV Breakfast. Brilliant presenter. He was totally underestimated when he was with Daybreak. Will never understand why he wasn't taken on to GMB

AllAboutTV, you don't know it wasn't Matt's decision not to. You're assuming he was sacked which is conjecture.

I do agree that Matt is a fantastic journalist, though, and a more-than-worthy stand-in for Piers, if not permanent member of the team.

I'll repeat what I said before - neither of us knows what Matt did or didn't choose to do. It was almost four years ago. We don't know the specifics, we never will, and frankly, it doesn't matter in the slightest.
