Couldn't they just use the same system that adds the +1 bubble next to the logo to add one over the clock? Or increase the brightness and the size of the tiny +1 bubble.

The +1 DOG on the main channel has been too small even outside of GMB hours and its clearly obvious by now it doesn't bother them, otherwise it would have been changed long before now I'd have thought.

I rather suspect having a great big ITV+1 DOG right across the middle of the screen (like you see on news channels when they reuse another channel's off-air feed) still wouldn't stop the complaints about the clock being an hour off... Pulling the entire time-shift operation probably would but that would just generate complaints about the programme not being shown! Bit of a lose-lose situation really.

Haha. Here some local stations will start regardless. If the agreed upon and contractually obligated time is :26 and :56 after the hour and you get four minutes some will start. Or if they wait until it’s over some stations will take the full four minutes and join the show already in progress.

However most will either drop a story, increase their read rate, have an abbreviated weather/traffic report, and cut some local inventory.

I noticed that the central region hasn't updated to the newer 2017 GMB logo on their slide yet. Oops

I've noticed they very rarely use the sofa area these days. Maybe this is a sign they might not introduce the sofa when they move to TVC? Maybe a larger desk? More room for guests to sit at.

more along the lines of the old sky news shoe box maybe?
the main desk centred and the sofa either side with a lower coffee table.

The Shoe Box of was excellent but I like the set up GMB already has. I think a larger desk would be better though as sometimes the Piers & Susanna have to move along to make space for guests

I think the current desk as it is, is too big.

They’ve already downsized the desk once before. The current desk is fit for purpose and the right size for 3 presenters.

It’s just when they have guests and interviewees they either interview them right under their nose or have to awkwardly shift to the side, especially if there’s two guests.

Maybe if the do a sofa desk mix if they make the desk slightly bigger then that wouldn’t look too bad.
Though then we’re headed back to GMTV territories then!

Obviously we don't know how they are going to divide TVC3 for This Morning and Good Morning Britain, but with the size of studio three being around 8000 sq ft I'd imagine that GMB will have more space to play with (the current studio is 2268 sq ft). I liked the small interview area at launch, maybe they could create a separate area for interviews again with either tall chairs around a high table or chairs around a coffee.
