GMB will broadcast from Television Centre from April. It will share Studio 3 with This Morning and will have a new set rather than trying to recreate the current one in the same space. Lorraine and Loose Women will share Studio 2.

Does anyone know of a date for the move to TVC?

Easter 2018 ish, there's a lot of kit being/to be installed by ITV.

Is ITV installing it - or are Studioworks? From my understanding TC2's gallery is being beefed up a bit, and I guess there will need to be some additional post production, graphics and newsroom computer kit installed?

I wonder if the studio 3 set up is going to contain two separate sets for GMB and This Morning or if the new set design is going to be flexible and easily changeable for both programmes to use the same space or at least certain areas.

I think it's already been said that there will be standing sets either end of the studio.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think, as of Monday just gone, that Good Morning Britain has now been going longer than Daybreak.

And apart from the arrival of Piers with relative little change.

I’m sure the amount of time Piers and Susanna are having off is gradually increasing. Given that the two of them have supposedly solved ITV’s problems at breakfast time, it’s strange to see them have so much time off. No news on guest presenters, so I’m guessing it’ll be Kate/Charlotte/Ranvir covering.

In ratings news the show recorded two shares above 22% this week, the best since launch. The gap between Breakfast, however, isn’t really closing.

Where is the share coming from then?

I’d be interested to see the difference between Mon-Wed and Thu-Fri as well. I think the show is crap with Ben Shepherd presenting personally.

The main presenters having two weeks off at Christmas is hardly new - indeed I'm surprised they were in this week.

When GMB sees an increase, Breakfast also tends to see an increase. So whilst GMB is recording higher numbers, so is Breakfast. I’ll see if I can find some days to compare, but I don’t think there is a massive difference.

The pair of them were back on the first show of 2017, but are having an extra week off at the start of next year.

Hasn't been mentioned that Richard Arnold appears to be taking an undisclosed period of time off in Australia and Iain Lee will be standing in for him.
