A rating of 642k (18.5%) for yesterdays programme. Pretty good rating and share for half term!

Like I said, individual regional news programmes have a higher audience.

Any particular reason for the comparison? It's hardly like for like.

Highlighting poor performance of a national programme, when a regional show rates better.

Do you have any evidence for your claims?? There's also the fact that compared to regional programming (on an evening) people are commuting when GMB is on. Lots of people also turn to the radio in the morning aswell.

Regional news gets about 4m in total, divide that by at least 14 programmes...

That's the average audience. Who watches from start to finish? ITV Breakfast reaches 3m a day.

Reach is a very subjective thing - doesn't mean they actually watch.
Still maintain a regional half hour does better than a half hour of GMB

Different time of day. Different audience. Hardly comparable.

On Monday I wonder if we will see the oscars music and titles reused this year. And with the ITV refresh today maybe a new ident at the start of the titles?

If they go OTT again (which I bet they will), I'll have gone from Sky 103 to 0104 by 6:01.

No special music or titles.

The ITV opener is now on a plain white background.
