Did I hear right that today may be Piers last GMB for a couple of weeks going off what Richard Arnold said just before seven?
I was just wondering if we may see Mark Austin standing in. Just asking no speculation or rumours?
Piers is off for two weeks filming series 2 of 'Killer Women'.
Guest hosts are usually announced in advance, so I think it'll just be Kate or Charlotte standing in.
Or Ben or even Sean or somebody new tried out.
Also it was never announced prior to the 2 appearances Mark made last May aswell.

Anyone know what's going on with the original Daybreak studio? It's always brightly lit each time GMB goes into and out of a break. Can't actually tell if it's the original daybreak studio though as underneath also looks like a studio in darkness.

Daybreak was above the canteen IIRC. It may be a recorded shot, I know the bump shots for This Morning are recorded ...
They used this three way yesterday and I was wondering if it's new?:
It's alright but there's a lot of dead space. Also that guy from LA seems to have been on quite frequently recently.
Guess there is less of an issue with them all wearing white with that layout but really would look better to drop one of the three shots (the studio shot) and have the two guests take up the height of the screen.

That is new. All the boxes were a bit small weren't they.

The best way they could have simplified this and fill up the whole screen would have it side by side. They could center cut the people from LA and SC while keeping a larger frame for the anchors.
Yet another opener issue this morning, this time at 8am no headline footage was played but straps were visible.
Can't find any video of it on YouTube yet but if anyone has something captured please post It was quite interesting in showing how the straps animate as they animated out as if the logo shaped wipe was playing but obviously there was no footage being wiped between.
