They could use the gmb section of the promo as an opening for the program like they did with GMTV

No. Just no.
Trust me, it wouldn't work. Where would it even go?

Is it me or is there something slightly amateurish about the way they've left the camera track in vision and the transitions are through the black of the back of the set?

The transitions happen so quickly that you don't see the tracks unless you're really looking.

Seems there is a continuity error. There are 5 quarters (GMB, Lorraine, JK, This Morning and Loose Women).

I'd get rid of Jeremy's quarter.

How is it a continuity error? For all you know, it could be a circle with 5 sectors. They aren't necessarily quarters.

They're shaped like quarters.

You cannot tell the shape from the video. Anyway, there was only two sectors used during filming - GMB and This Morning, and then it was redecorated for Lorraine and Loose Women. I'm unsure about when/where Jeremy's sequence was filmed.

If you look on the floor, you can clearly see the quarter shape on some sectors, like Lorraine and Loose Women.

(Kudos if you agree!)

I'm not sure that promos need to have geometric accuracy

Just an idea. Thinking about it now, that idea for gmtv kind of failed

Outrageous. Next I'll be told that those aren't the real sets, as used on the programmes.

Is it the school holidays again?! I thought they'd finished...

This discussion on whether or not the segments are equal quarters, a little larger, or a little smaller is tedious. I went to the trouble of pausing the video right as the transition was about to take place and you can clearly see the segments are slightly larger than quarters. Not that it makes any difference at all. Can we stop discussing this in great detail now?
