Down on last rating I posted, but Friday is the worst rated day. It's a shame we can't get ratings for the start of the week, but I expect they are in the 700k region.

Comparatively there won't be much difference as Breakfast will also drop during the week - guess people have longer lie ins as the week goes on.

Those who didn't watch on Friday missed celebrations for Richard's 20 years on TV.
Penny Smith and Matt Lorenzo were presenting when Richard made his first appearance and their was a short clip of them recalling that.
It would have been great to see Penny back in the studio for the occasion, of course we got Kate Garraway instead.

Also some people were not back at work and school last week, a non scientific measure, my commute went from 'abnormally quiet' on Tuesday to 'school holiday' levels by Friday.

What do people dislike about Richard Arnold? I think his slots are entertaining. He clearly has a strong love for his job.

I agree that Arnold is entertaining. However, I wish he could have been moved onto This Morning or something when Daybreak was axed. The fact that Arnold (and Ross, Hilary, etc.) stayed meant that GMB could be moved back to the GMTV format very quickly. Ditching the original launch format after 6 weeks was a massive mistake.

I agree with that except, Arnold was axed when GMTV ended.

Is this Piers exceeding the limit or just a sensitive interviewee. Thats the first time on breakfast tv I have seen the presenter make the guest cry:

An interviewee who shouldn't have expected an easy ride?

I'm not getting into the details of the story, but I don't think somebody putting on the crocodile tears counts as Piers "exceeding the limit".

Nobody likes the phrase "Piers Morgan is right", but he's right. That poor kid will probably never be invited around to friends houses again just incase they get invoiced for the privelege.
