Charlotte and Ranvir work really together, as seen this morning.
However, I noticed that again there has been no newsreader. The show works perfectly fine with two presenters in it's current format, so I can't see the third presenter role lasting much longer unless the format changes. Poor Charlotte barely gets any airtime when Piers is in, and her 7:30 news bulletin is often cut out completely when the show is running behind.
The show would work so much better if it went back to three presenters. Letting the newsreader take items on their own and mixing the lineups up on the two presenter items (e.g. Susanna and Charlotte or Piers and Charlotte) would make the show work so much better.

You're contradicting yourself there. I think the Brussels attack showed the benefit of three presenters with two able to lead the broadcst whilst a third collates the information coming in.
P.S. Is Kate not getting a look in this Christmas then? With the changes to the Evening News likely to mean less of Ranvir on the ITV News it really is the chance to finally cut Kate loose and use Charlotte and Ranvir more, especially if it is alongside Mark Austin.

I just think Charlotte and Ranvir ought to be used more in the newsreader role, as they are both excellent but do very little. My point was basically unless the format changes, the third presenter will probably go. For the Brussels coverage, Charlotte had about three minutes air time.
Regarding Kate, I think it's gone the other way - Kate is now beyond doing holiday cover and is seen as a "main" presenter. I wholeheartedly agree about getting rid of Kate if Mark Austin joins the show. The GMTV feeling that Friday's have isn't good for the show, it's like being stuck in 2005.
Charlotte was paired with Mark on his second guest presenter stint, and they worked really well together.
Sorry. It just says 'Good Morning Britain' not 'Presentation of good morning britain'
This place is predominantly a TV presentation forum (hence very little day to day discussion on programmes for example), and although who presents is all part of presentation we try and avoid going into too much detail, especially when it comes to "fantasy rotas". The mod team have specific guidelines set out regarding rota discussion.
Usually a bit of familiarity with how the discussion on the forum flows and an ounce of common sense suffices to get it right, although there are times we all might blur the boundaries.
As for your specific suggestion - having a completely different presenter combination everyday of the week is never a good idea. Dropping Piers on the other hand - as much as the nation would delight in seeing him get his P45 (whether they watch GMB or not) he is their main point of difference at the moment

Let's forget fantasy rotas for a bit. They're very boring. I'd love to see more musical performances on gmb. They have all the space and lighting equip etc and why they don't take advantage of it I'll never know. The only musical performances I can think of since gmb launched is the fifth harmony one. Rick Astley (on the south bank) and an old tune from Texas. I remember the days when gmtv and daybreak would have singers on for interviews and have them perform. I just think it could lift people in the morning after listening and watching news for over two hours.

you would think it would bring in a spike of the audience share with a musical guest. But it may be too difficult to produce in the morning, or perhaps the newsier format kills that option.
I guess though it's the same reason as breakfast shows no longer include segments for kids - the assumption is anyone interested in such performances won't be watching GMB.
