Considering the limiations of the facilities available to them there you have to ask if it was worth them being there - would viewers get a better show from the London studio?

Good question. It's meant to bring the audience closer to what's happening but because of the time of day it's just a dark sky which doesn't really mean too much.

Not too keen on how the studio looks either. What also annoys me though is how they unprofessionally hand over to Lorraine without a proper close with music as usual.

They never use a music to end the program since 2 years and half.

They've brought a desk in which looks a bit better. Also an America Decides style Live wipe

The balcony with the desk looks so much better.

This will be quite testing for GMB - unlike the EU Referendum, we are halfway through a story.

Agreed, at this point it feels like a slight break in the rolling news for a summary of what's happened so far.

The 'balcony' is actually a lot longer than I thought. There is also a large monitor at one end, and a smaller one at the other.

Piers is actually staying quite objective, and clearly knows his stuff.

So Charlotte is in the studio:

But we've not heard anything from her in the first hour. Becoming the Piers and Susanna show again.

Also, GMB aren't using any graphics or maps, which seems like a mistake.

They've got Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire in the studio now (for some reason).

I was quite disappointed. I know it's a US Election Special, which of course I want to know about. However, during the time I watched it there was no UK News Breifing. Giving it was 'Good Morning BRITAIN' and not just an ITV News broadcast i would've liked a quick UK news summary. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

They did cross to Charlotte when the news broke about the Croydon tram crash. I think that was the only update.

You probably would have found it difficult to find a UK news update on any breakfast TV programme yesterday given that the story developed massively during that time.
