Next Monday marks 5 years of Piers Morgan on GMB. Initially only for a week long stint, then the nation rejoiced in the following November when he became permanent.

On an unrelated note concerning the BBC, yesterday also marked 5 years of Victoria Derbyshire in television. Also October marks 5 years of Tom Bradby fronting News at Ten. What a year 2015 was.

Tom Bradby seems to be away from NAT more than here’s there in the last few months

The current trailer makes it appear like he is the world leading expert on Coronavirus.

That’s just Piers overblown language though

I’m not a regular viewer of GMB but how substantial would Dr Hilary’s role usually be, did he appear often?

Of course he’s been kicking around on ITV breakfast since the days of GMTV but now he’s never been more vital to the programme.

I think he has even been there since the TV-am days. Not a regular GMB viewer either, its one of the shows that's usually on in the background for a while in the morning but I think he generally appears as and when required.

He was TV-am's doctor from 1989 and was one of the few on screen talents to transfer over to GMTV in 1993.

When was the last time Piers and Susanna hosted on Easter Monday? If at all...! Same goes for Lorraine.

Even though they've been made to work through Easter, it seems Holly & Phil at This Morning have still managed to get Easter off.

I suppose in this current climate where most days feel like a bank holiday, they are adding continuity and it could be helping themselves to get out of the house for work where they can.

As for Phil & Holly, they were on air last week when they should have been on holiday, but I believe they’re having this week off.

Piers has apparently hosted a Bank Holiday when he first joined, presenting with Kate. This is the first time Piers and Susanna have done a bank holiday.

I suspect Piers and Susanna either chose to work the Bank Holiday or were maybe asked kindly to do so. I doubt they could be made to work it.

Every day just feels the same at the moment whether its a weekday, weekend or Bank Holiday. I guess they might as well work as its not as if they can enjoy the Bank Holiday/Easter holidays like they would be able to in normal circumstances.

Lorraine also seems to be hosting (live not pre-recorded ) on a Friday now as well.

So have they stopped using the new titles completely that they introduced in January?

Also will Lorraine remain in the GMB studio even when things go back to normal? Feel like it works quite well.

I don’t get how some people on here say that the new titles were more complex to put together? Surely it’s all just drag and drop?
And I agree with the Lorraine using the GMTV brand. It’s a lot better

My guess would be that it's just easier to use the old titles at the moment, I don't know how either sets of titles work, but considering '28st February' managed to get out with the new style, I'd assume that the text may be inputted manually, whereas the old style could either be the same (meaning only one set of text needs to be altered) or automatic.
