Yes, if they had any sense they'd keep her out this week too for the sake of a day or two.
I also think it would be best to avoid as much cross-contamination as possible - so two completely separate teams rather than people presenting with one person one day and another the next, with a third team as backup. Lorraine coming in probably complicates that - might be better she's held in reserve.
Any news yet on if GMB are dropping local bulletins from tomorrow. Will be surprising if they last longer there than on the BBC, but on the other hand although OFCOM are relaxing rules often the commercial channels have to jump through more hoops than the BBC when it comes to such things.
Also how have ratings been the last week in the 6am hour especially - you'd imagine they'd be even lower than normal considering the lockdown so might be a justification for actually putting CITV on for the first half hour or hour to concentrate on the peak breakfast hours.

Wonder if we’ll (shock horror) see Piers continue to present over the Easter holidays? Not like he’s going to be travelling back to LA, and he’s certainly made an impact in the past few weeks and arguably forced the government to move faster than they would have otherwise. I’d imagine he’s quite enjoyed himself despite the circumstances (and could have no doubt left at 9am when Lorraine came on if he’d wished).
In all honesty I’ve lost track of time and can’t even think when Easter is right now, but presumably Lorraine will be disappearing any time now for a few weeks anyway?
If social distancing restricts numbers in the studio I’d guess weather would be sacrificed / moved elsewhere.

I can't see him working his birthday. Did he present it in 2016?
EDIT : he didn't as that was the first week Jeremy Kyle ever sat in for Piers.

It’s not like he can go out or have the family over to celebrate his birthday. Given the current circumstances it’s hardly worth taking the day off.

They've confirmed Susanna is back in the studio tomorrow. Going to be interesting if they can justify having the newsreader role back when they'll never be able to accommodate as many people on the desk or justify having four presenters including Lorraine when they should be functioning a skeleton operation.
Therefore maybe Susanna will start at 6, with Piers joining at 6.30 and Lorraine replacing Susanna at 9.
It does seem Piers and Charlotte are sat closer together this morning so maybe they've measured it out so that the newsreader would have room to sit at the end of the desk.

Charlotte could even sit at the 6am desk Penny Smith style, although she'd then just be sat in the corner of the studio for a couple of minutes of the show, which is quite a lot less prominence than she has sat at the desk.
