ITV with no fault on their part, had launched their new daytime schedule at the worst time of 2020 - of course they could not have known how this crisis would spread, but now their wall to wall LIVE daytime programming will slowly become reduced, to the point that by Easter it could possibly be just hourly news summaries with repeats of interviews and segments of GMB, Lorraine and This Morning.
So they shouldn’t have launched their all-live line-up on the off chance a global pandemic made them make a few changes (which, by all accounts, they seem to have made quite easily)?
ITV said that from Monday an extended version of Good Morning Britain will air from 6am until 10am and feature Charlotte Hawkins as co-host until 9am, with Lorraine Kelly joining Piers Morgan for the remainder of the programme.

I would've thought if GMB's usual format becomes impossible, it would be replaced by a rolling format ITV News? They won't reduce it to old features and short bulletins. And the news is too important to revert to a CITV simulcast either - they should honestly run GMB on weekends too.
Of course, BBC Breakfast has also been extended to end at 10am, so it makes sense that GMB is doing likewise.
Anyone noticed the spa break not being mentioned in the competition spot? 'Three prizes' but only showing two - hastily chopped out references to the break portion.
Will the final hour of Good Morning Britain be with Lorraine and Ben on Thursday ? I take it'll be Kate and Ben in Friday as Lorraine records her Friday show .
