Susanna is self-isolating, so I can imagine a few covers over the next two weeks now...

They're probably best to just not replace her. Have two presenters instead of three. It's not like Charlotte and Ranvir do much in the newsreader role after 6.30 on Piers' days.

Probably too late for someone who isn't already planned to be there to present anyway. Probably be Charlotte co-presenting and one of the correspondents newsreading if anyone.

Absolutely pointless having a separate newsreader when the whole show is just about one topic. I'll eat my hat (once I've thoroughly disinfected it, just in case) if tomorrow's show is anything other than Piers and Charlotte presenting together with 'contributors' as per today.

Has anyone other than Susanna ever hosted with Piers?

I can’t imagine Kate Garraway keeping him in check, so he’ll be running wild even more than usual.

I am certain he's presented with Charlotte and Ranvir (albeit not very often at all) but a quick Google did not yield any proof of this.

He's definitely presented alongside Kate though...

Can’t see them keeping it just Piers and Charlotte. I’d have thought Kate or Ranvir presenting with him. Although Piers and Ben would be an interesting dynamic.

He presented with Charlotte in London whilst Susanna was in Brussels covering the terrorist attack in 2016.

It annoys me that Piers keeps talking over Dr Hillary, a doctor. DOCTOR. More listening, less sensationalist speech.

He's just ignoring everything Dr Hillary and Charlotte say.

I think as annoying as his approach may be, he is absolutely right today in capturing the anger of many people at the uncertainty yesterday’s press conference caused. As someone working in the industry that people are “recommended” to avoid, this has been devastating for us. I have no answer for employees concerned about whether or not they can pay their bills if they have to self isolate.

France have been crystal clear, the UK far from it, and Piers is challenging this.

Aren't France further down the line with the infection though, therefore able to take more drastic action.

With regards Piers, I had to turn off this morning. Hilary might as well not bother going in for all the chance he gets to talk.

Piers won't change, in fact the more the people tell him to on Twitter the more he does it. He is just like Trump in that regard.

Best thing to do is switch off, and maybe of large numbers turn him off on GMB, they might start to realise it, and have a rethink, if the viewing figures drop over the following week when he is on his three day week.

The same Piers who just 3 months ago was shouting down "pc snowflake remainers" who were saying Boris was incompetent and couldn't lead the country out of a paper bag let alone through a crisis. How he's changed his tune. As his type often do when suddenly THEY are affected.
