Forgot about Bacon and Austin. Mark Austin DID present GMB in May 2016.

Perhaps Jeremy Kyle will be back in the frame at some point, given he's making a TV comeback according to Metro today.

Apologies for the quality. Someone didn't spell check the 6am opener this morning.

Oh yes, someone must have incorrectly modified the one intended for Monday, 31st February 2020

Odd to see that they throw about the 'reunited with on-screen partner' thing, but only on two occasions (Bill and Eamonn) however don't think of that when casting substitutes.

Andrew Castle to sub alongside Kate
Penny Smith & Ben
Ranvir & Matt Barbet

...trying to think of the other partnerships, but the same idea applies.

They'd fixed the issue by 08:05, with the 'TH' in capitals and superscript as usual.

I would have expected the GMB date sequence to be generated automatically, in the same way as the time for the ' TOTH Sting' on BBC Breakfast.

However, if you look at the background of the wording in pip2's post, there is no day or numeral before 'February', so I'm guessing that for some reason the day and date had to be added (badly).

I would love to see Penny Smith back - was good at handling the news but full of personality and humour aswell.

If you look closely, you can just see the 'st" faintly.

The 'Friday' is there, it's really, really faint though, but you can just about see the F...

I wouldn't be surprised if the two layers of text are linked up together, so if you edit one, it edits the other at the same time. I can do it on Sony Vegas so I imagine professional equipment and software can also handle that function.

Any thoughts on a realistic potential replacement though - can't see any of the regular stand-ins doing it full time.

They could do with a full-time male stand-in. They have a plethora of female presenters yet only seem to mix up the male counterparts as they have two males who can't fully commit full time to the show.

Even Eamonn Holmes hasn't appeared for a while. Andrew Castle could be a good shout but don't think is quite suited for GMB and in his GMTV days only had a dose of average chemistry with Kate.

It's a shame Dan Lobb left ITV as he was very versatile and worked in a similar way to Ben.

Andrew Castle always seemed a bit sloppy in my opinion. GMTV was never the same after Eamonn left.

Not having an adequate replacement for Eamonn is arguably why GMTV failed towards the end.
