They read out a tweet from a viewer moaning that they were 7 minutes past the hour with the headlines to which Piers Morgan pointed out he was watching on +1 so see you in an hour. I'm amazed how many people complain on a daily basis that their clock is wrong but are watching on +1. You would think after so many years people would realise before firing off a tweet and looking like an idiot

Tweets bring out the stupidity in people. Its a trait that evaporates when you have to put pen to paper because by the time you've wrote "Dear Sir/Madam, I write to complain that your clock on TV-am this morning was slow", it suddenly dawns on you that a) your complaint is moronic when you read it back and b) the reason the screen clock was wrong was because the clock on your wall you used as reference was also wrong.
No such "I'm a stupid moron" realisation with Twitter, because why bother to decide that you're a moron in the heat of flying over a keypad when everybody else will call you a moron anyway soon as they see your tweet?

Reminds me of a time when I replied to someone on Twitter saying they were watching on +1, then another person replied to me saying "no it has been wrong for months, budget cuts at ITV"

Both very true. piers has apologised for some of the language he used when he worked at the Sun saying "As I've said before, I’m ashamed of some of the inappropriate language I used in The Sun thirty years ago about gay stars. They were different times, but that’s no excuse - it was offensive, it was wrong, and I apologise for it" and then there is a comment saying "That’s all well and good saying it was 30 years ago but you really should apologise!"

Totally agree. Piers drives my nut in but he was absolutely spot on in that debate. What a whole load of nonsense from PETA!
