I assume it was recorded 9am in London/8pm Sydney rather than them going to the effort in creating an illusion no one in Australia would even get.

I'm a tad concerned about the maths of the Australian presenters. "Millions" don't watch GMB.

They must have asked Piers just before the interview aired...

So many people on here slagging of viewing figures and presenters I.e Piers... I get it’s a forum and people are allowed opinions etc but the negativity on this particular forum regarding viewing figures and Piers and laughing about it is quite tacky. Take it elsewhere as I don’t think the majority of people on here are interested in listening to your BS. I know I’m not anyway!

In terms of daily reach, it probably is millions.

Childish and completely unneeded

Not that I'm condoning Ben Thompson's tweet - it was stooping to the levels of immaturity evidenced by Morgan - but Piers Morgan himself is hardly known for being respectful about BBC Breakfast, both in his tweets and on screen. Smashing a BBC Breakfast mug on air = the height of professionalism? I think not.

At least people like Dan Walker have been polite and complimented Morgan and Reid for doing a good job. To my knowledge, it's never reciprocated on their part.

As for those suggesting the Breakfast interview with Boris Johnson this morning was sycophantic = Morgan and Trump, anyone?

In the society we live in today, it is totally unacceptable for anyone, never mind a journalist working for the state broadcaster, to mock a drag queen.
While I do agree that immaturity is played out by Piers at times, Ben Thompson should not have posted that tweet.

Surely the tweet is merely pointing out that GMB are doing a lightweight entertainment interview while Breakfast is interviewing the PM? Interpreting that as "mocking a drag queen" is one hell of a stretch.

(I would not be surprised if GMB's interview was more revealing and contained better answers, however)

That's how I interpreted the tweet: the fact that Breakfast had a PM interview going on while Good Morning Britain had something more lightweight. I didn't read it as being insulting towards drag queens per se.

As I said, not that I'm defending Ben Thompson in posting it in the first place. Leave the childish jibes to Piers Morgan.

Indeed. That would be openly gay Ben Thompson who is a champion of LGBT rights and is a self confessed fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The same Ben Thompson who has appeared on the cover of Attitude and was at the BBC launch party for Drag Race UK.

Some people round here need to catch a grip sometimes! BM11 isn’t the only one who takes the earnings of individuals on Twitter as the gospel truth!

I would agree had he not used an embarrassed emoji.

Also not quite sure why they're still calling her Meghan Markle.
