Hopefully the 2020 refresh comes back in September.
Personally, I don't see the refreshed look to the programme returning whilst social distancing guidelines remain in place, as several elements of it (newsreader desk being moved to the right position, titles being created) were dropped due to requiring extra staff to carry out those tasks. Having said that, the furlough scheme does end in October, so it'll be interesting to see what happens around then (if nothing has by then)
I hope that the refreshed 2020 titles don’t return, I think the current ones are much better. The new one feels like they tried to fit too many elements into its very short run time.
I suspect there’ll be some sort of update, given Kay Burley’s show is expected to have a revamp when she returns. Her show is probably GMB’s biggest threat right now and I expect them to start promoting it a lot more. Might be wrong, who knows.

Sky News’s ratings are so minuscule I doubt GMB see it as a threat whatsoever, though Kay does generate the odd viral moment (sometimes deliberately 😂😂)

Potentially, although he may also do the weather and it saves having another person in the studio. Could be quite a nice shot as he walks over from the main desk to the weather area.
