ITV News really would suit the GMB studio.

ITV News really would suit the GMB studio.

Studio 3 at Television Centre would be a dreadful headquarters for ITV News bulletins, as their newsroom is at Grays Inn Road.

That would have been perfect for the past four months.

And the next four. Just imagine how far away from Piers Susanna could sit.

Could also be a potential solution for Loose Women to have more than 3 panelists in the studio.

Nice desk. I wonder if they'll use that for anything else. I reakon they'll use this for future Tonight Specials or whether it's just been a one off.

It's way too big for Loose Women, TC2 is tiny.

It's too big for TC2, not for Loose Women, if they switched studios to be able to use it.

TC2 isn't much smaller than half of TC3? 60x40 vs 70x45 metric feet

Metric Feet?

Quote:
Where possible I have quoted sizes within firelanes and in 'metric feet' where applicable. This curious measurement was adopted by the BBC and is 30cm in length. (If you think back to your old school rulers, they had 12 inches on one side and 30cm, which is very slightly less, on the other.) It does mean that a studio that is marked as 90 metric feet long is actually 88ft 6ins long.

As a bit of a maths nerd I've never seen anything so horrendous in my life. And I've been trying to suppress my anger at 2m being called 6ft for the last 4 months.

Yes, we all know it is six and two thirds metric feet.

So that was the week Charlotte presented 3 days, and did an excellent job. Certainly good enough to do a large share of Summer presenting in Susanna's absence. But will she be sharing much of this with the also excellent Ranvir?
Clearly their airtime will drop when Susanna returns, unless they revert to 2 presenter and 1 newsreader format.
I know they have other duties on ITV, but it must be a bit frustrating for them.
