Ah twitter, the steadfast barometer of reasoned public opinion.
I don't think the public has time for reasoned opinion in the morning. They either like it or switch off, which is why Twitter shouldn't be underestimated.
The only problem is, at this stage, of course the reaction to GMB is going to be more positive, as the only ones left watching it are the people that like it.
Unless there are thousands of twitter posts, I'm wary of reading too much into a few tens of comments from a self-selecting group. There are still hundreds of thousands of people watching GMB in comparison.
Agreed to a point. It's nowhere near an exact science, but if you look at comments by people who aren't in the industry, that just live everyday lives, and the views are all similar (as was the case when GMB launched) you have to give them some credibility.
They are interesting - but they really only tell you what a small, self-selecting, group of Twitter users think. I think you have to be very careful not to let them dictate what you do too much, and not think they represent your entire audience's view.
