Very interesting news as it's the first time the channel has broadcast a live programme "of this magnitude" in its history. I'm intrigued at how they will handle it.

I'd imagine Gold will just take a feed from the production company, who in turn probably have contractors that are used to filming these sort of productions.

It's being broadcast to cinemas on the same night.

An emotional night it should be, as well as funny.

Shame they can't show it on BBC.

Ah, I forgot about that! I did wonder when I read about that if a TV channel could broadcast that as well. I guess it was down to who wanted the rights.

Still, it'll be interesting to see how Gold will handle live coverage.

I'd noticed that too. No Gold logo appearing on any of the trailers.

Unless that is a new logo? Gold is well overdue some attention.

It would be an odd way of introducing it!

That's a much nicer logo in my opinion.

I would've thought they'd put it on Dave so they have it in HD...?
