Now that Premiership highlights have been awarded to the BBC, will the Goal Rush go as well as the Premiership? I have not heard anything about its fate. Final Score still remained when MOTD departed but will The Goal Rush? To be honest, I prefer there to be only one results service, two can be confusing, you switch channels and find that you keep hearing the same reports and missing the same ones!

Quite possibly. It's already been cut right back, only showing on ITV1 now and only from 4:30pm for 45 minutes. It used to go out all afternoon on ITV2 but has been dropped.

I can see ITV dropping this next year, I can just see an extended ITV Weekend News where they read out all of the results live. Though not many people know that ITV2 always (Well they used to) have a results service on a Saturday Afternoon before getting the premiership highlights. It was called Football First (Had the same theme music as The Goal Rush) and has been on the channel since it's first Saturday in December 1998, but the only difference was that it wasn't a part of ITV Sport and it was made by Meridian of all stations! But as they no longer have TGR on ITV2, I can see it being dropped, I am certain that the ratings for TGR are never above 1 Million. Though ITV should keep On The Ball. Frankly next year ITV should change their Saturday Daytime Schedule in 2004 (Daytime being 11.30am until 5.30pm) as I can't see anymore TGR and with SM:tv being axed the time would be right.

God knows why they ever axed World Of Sport?

They probably find that they can't compete with Sky's Soccer Saturday, Especially with it being broadcast on Sky Sports News as well as Sky Sports 1

I'm not so sure it will be dropped. After all it is made by a Granada region not Carlton/ISN like The Premiership. It is a lot better than the rest of ITV1's Saturday Afternoon lineup. If they do drop it perhaps they could introduce updates or a ticker. This will probably all be too much trouble for ITV. I don't know how ITV have got any sports staff left after the way they have been treated.

Maybe they will launch a service on the ITV News Channel to run on Saturday afternoons, leading into the Weekend News on ITV1 at around 5pm.
