How's that possible when it's a different set with a different layout?
The set isn't really a different layout, the sofa's a different shape but in the same place, so the trees would fit nicely beheind it. The trees were very nice last year, so hopefully they will be again.
Personally I'd love to see them go mad with snow landscapeeeee background, garlands over the windows and round the desk, maybe even a few snowflakes hanging around, though what are the chances?
Now Lorraine's set is completely different in set up and style to last years, so it will be interesting to see what they do there!
As for titles, surely they'll have new ones or adapted ones with the new shinier glassy logo, and in widescreen.
Plus they have the presenters idents at the top of each segment, so it will be interesting to see if they use these or not bother and opt for a graphic ident instead.
As for when it will happen, people took a stab in the dark at next Monday, the 6th of December a while back, and looking at last year, they launched Christmas on the 8th, so I'd say that next week is likely!

The only thing that's usually different is that they change the top of the hour ident and use the 1998 Christmas Music, which is very festive with bells and high twinkles, it's a shame that they can't do that to the GMTV Today tune, but I don't think they did anything last year, though I hope I'll be pleasently surprised!

Can a real GMTV insider please tell me what gmtv plan to do next monday to their studio, will there be a different backdrop (e.g. colour) what will the idents + theme tune be like.

Only the main ident theme, and last year it sounds like it was redone as it sounded much clearer, prop because they had new equip. They dont change the backdrop at xmas just add 2 Christmas Trees, and the main iden will probably be a widescreen versrion of last years which was stunning! I havnt seen any main adverts for Christmas on GMTV this year, only the cooking one, they dont seem to have the strength of last year in Christmas ads.
