I just wanted to post this after watching GMTV this morning with Andrew and Penny all the way through. It was a brilliant programme this morning; light but still with all the news we needed to know and very entertaining as well.

The interviews by Penny and Andrew were carefully and thoughtfully done, and Penny and Andrew defnitely know how to keep the comic seperate from the serious (something that Fiona doesn't).

Although I found the show very entertaining this morning, I also felt that it was a lot more 'newsier' (if that's a word) than normal. I think this is down to the quality of the presenters. Sometimes with Eamonn and Fiona it just turns into a tabloid looking show, however this morning it looked slick, credible, authoritative yet still entertaining and right for a breakfast news show.

Anyone else think that Penny should do both Newshour and GMTV Today?

I', not a fan of Andrew Castle's but i did think that he and Penny worked well. It's a pity that they can't have the following pairings

News Hour - John Stapleton
Today - Mon - Wed Kate and Ben
Thurs - Fri Penny and Andrew

The 4 today presenters can then stand in foir each other and John.

LK Today replace it with Fiona today ( Jenni Falconer can be standin) and then let Loraine go full time on This Morning.

I found it quite cool to see the two coronation street stars trying to present the weather.
I would of found it quite hard to do because they are in front of a green screen.

There was also a technical problem with the NEWSHOUR titles this morning, they played for 2 secs and then stopped suddenly and a black screen saying GMTV NEWSHOUR TITLES appeared

GMTV TODAY:
Did anyone watch the 7:58 weather with Claire?
If so did you see that one of the bulbs above her head exploded so she had to move forward, I THINK THAT GAVE HER A BIT OF A SHOCK Laughing

Has anyone captured any of those events
