That was just the plan. I couldnt be bothered colouring it!

Havent thought about the floor. A modern setting might seem nice Bhind the sofa there are back projected scenes of london (just like they do on London today/tonight and this morning. The poles used to seperate the windows and borders around them (like this morning) would be coloured, but you wouldnt see much because of the sofa.

Full update on the re-vamp....

I'm told there were a few problems this morning with the sound on the titles and bumpers....tomorrow things should sound a bit better....my friend has said she thinks the opening wide shot at the top of the hour is likely to go but they will try it again tomorrow to see if it works....the new newshour music was pulled at the last minute hence no music bed at the top of the six, the old music will now be used again starting from tomorrow morning.

That's all I know -- what do you all think?

I only caught the 8 o'clock intro with the studio shot of Penny at her desk in the foreground with the sofa in the background. I thought it looked good and hope that it is used again.

I wonder why it was pulled. It can't have been as bad as the new music for GMTV Today, which is dreadful.

I think that the music they used before the 2000 revamp would go well with the new titles. The one with the dark blue background.

The new titles aren't too bad, I guess - and I quite like the new, more newsy GMTV Today music. But Penny's new news background is absolutely abysmal IMHO. Very tacky and flat-looking, and not a touch on the old one.

Yes, and if your news background is a red and blue graded colour, you would expect the same sort of colour scheme to be used in the still backgrounds and on the astons, wouldn't you?

Sorry, silly me -this is GMTV we are talking about isn't it.... Rolling Eyes
