I think they're about right. In the promo, the GMTV Today titles seemed to be glassy 3D shapes, with the today moving around the sun, although there wasn't much shown in the promo. It'll probably be repeated after the 6.30 news though.
Id like to see what people are on about in terms of the logo.
Speaking of GMTV logos; I like the GMTV 2 & GMTV logos; but whats the new GMTV kids logo about; they used to use the GMTV:2 logo without the 2; but now they have the yellow oval; with unusual font that fits in with nothing!
Well FYI the GMTV:2 logo has been in use longer than the GMTV logo, in fact it first appeared in 1998 and frankly I prefer it to the GMTV logo, as the GMTV logo is too similar to the first one they used. Plus GMTV:2 use a fantastic piece of music, which was written for them, you can listen to it when The News Hour opts out for regional news, when they have a caption saying GMTV:2 Follows Shortly.
I knew all of that; I was asking why they've changed the GMTV Kids logo from this. Id much prefer to see GMTV use the GMTV:2 logo; without the 2.
I think the idea was for this version to look like the older version; though Its still widely recognisable; everyone knows the sun; and they used the sun to its highest form for the pre 2000 top of the hour animation with the lovely version of the theme tune!
GMTV desperately needs a new set. What the hell is that backdrop meant to be? It looks like the aftermath of a bomb in a brick factory.
The set needs a more modern look. I love the interior brick walls on the side of the set, shame the bricks dont extend right around the back. It would give it a very nice modern look, with some decorative lighting along the walls.
The table the presenters use should have a glass top and hollow bottom to give a more spacious feeling. Lose that cheap rug from under there too.
The music needs to go back to its 1993 roots though. It's far too whimsical now, and not very heraldic to get you in the spirit for the day ahead. Also, one big point - DROP THE 'GMTV TODAY' title. What's the point of it?
New opening titles featuring filmed sequences of dawn breaking in various locations across the UK. Some nice aerial photography of the sun rising over the treetops of a forrest or something.
Why oh why is any imaginitive thought or creativity lost in television these days?

I've been enjoying this Kate woman recently....
Oh yes I agree totally, Kate, Andrew, Ben and Carla have been fantastic all Summer; Lorraine and Fiona are awful and I think LK Today should be scrapped altogether, and on Mon-Thur just keep GMTV Today till 9:25 and on Fri have Entertainment Today. I saw a promo for GMTV Today and they said something like ''we welcome back Britain's Best TV Couple, Eamonn Holmes and the lovely Fiona Phillips'' - come on, they're both crap and Fiona is disgusting.
