There was no regional bulletin at 6.35am this morning. Just a GMTV logo with the extended music.

Sounds like what happened when they evacuated the studios at GMTV - maybe that's what happened to Meridian.

None of the regions controlled by LNN went out at 6.35am because of a fault.

So that would mean only UTV and SMG got their local news in that slot. I wasn't up that early, hence my not knowing that Calendar News had been off air as well.

Not quite - don't forget Granada, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees and Border are still controlled from Leeds. Granada certainly got news at 6.35 - I remember thinking it odd when John Stapleton apologised that many regions hadn't got their news when we definitely had.

Their pres is from London though! I thought the Northern Macro was now just a relay.

The national pres is, but the regional stuff for Granada, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees and Border is still controlled from Leeds.

Only network presentation, network programmes and I think sometimes promos on the network feed are from London, the adverts, promos and regional programmes still come from Leeds.

It's more London than Leeds then. How often are regional programmes on? Not often at all.

But from the point of view of this thread, it's the only thing that's important. Central also worked this morning at 0635, they still control their own regional stuff, but for most of the rest of us we had the lovely breakdown music.

3 Minute Regional Bulletins take place after the news at approximately 6:37, 7:07 and 8:07. Although they can start sometimes at about 10 past. It was very nice to have the music today, it was amusing to hear ''Good Morning, I'm Pa...<Music>'' In London.

Depends what you mean by more, excluding network programmes which were always on the network feed anyway. Most of whats left is still done from Leeds including overall control switching from one thing to the next. Only idents and some trailers are from London

I'm going to be picky now - actually the total opt duration is 2.50" which includes a 12" weather sponsorship sting, currently Spontex on a rotation of Breakdance, Robot and Percussion.

Next week the sponsorship changes back to Bounce. Spontex ends this Friday, Bounce won't start until Wednesday so you will have two days of extra news!

Very Happy
