Slightly off topic, but didn't GMTV used to get the News from Reuters? Don't know when this stopped or when they switched to ITN.

This stopped 6 years ago, but Reuters staff continued to work for GMTV under contract. This ended last year, when the contracts were transferred to GMTV.

Didnt it used to be called the Reuters News Hour? I remember the Reuters logo featured in the News Hour Titles.

I think they should put the studio back to how it was on August 31st 2004
It looked new, with less clutter.

If I could count the amount of times you have moaned and groaned about that studio and the backdrop! Laughing Rolling Eyes

I would like to see GMTV being re-structured as a programme, rather than its current position which is a seperate channel.

Having said that I never watch GMTV, in the mornings I want to know whats happening in the world and the UK, rather than who's sleeping with who, and what the latest makeup and clothes are in fashion!

you know what er er you anoy me to

i like the music i hate to agree with you

There is a whole our devoted to news, although there is the ITV morning news at 5.30am so there is 1hr 30mins of news, but i agree it does anoy me with the stuff about posh and becs all the time but i like GMTV

do you know what annoys me? *you*

They'd better not change the music too much. Even through all the remixes you can hear the original '93 theme in the current mix and the original theme is just FAB

Managed to catch some of John on Today, this week, whilst the content was still the usual GMTV drivel, John was great. He and Kate worked really well.

Also noticed that they had a news update at 9 - even when the main programme was extended to 9.25 - they never used to have a news update - I take it this is fairly new?

Any more news on the revamp?

During the past week and a half when John Stapleton was presenting GMTV Today from 7am to 9.25am, the News Hour has been presented by Richard Gaisford.

This week though Andrew Castle is back
