GMTV re-launch in September

Interesting, I wonder whether it will be their own look or whether they are changing it to the ITV corporate identity (most probably without the ITV Weather branding). Aren't the current graphics the same graphics that they've had for ages that was simply resized for the launch into 16:9 last August?

I wonder why they would have considered relaunching something on a Friday anyway, especially the last friday of the summer run.

Doesn't September usually bring with it a change of sponser too?

Bit of an anticlimax IMO. The new Newshour theme and titles are rubbish compared to their predecessor. No new theme or titles for GMTV Today, apart from new presenter pictures in the flying circles. New astons and newsdesk backdrop. But all in all, a bit of a disappointment.

Incidentally, the new weather graphics look like a stretched 4:3 botch job, the newshour theme is too light and just makes it sound chavvish, and the astons are as Americanised as you can get. All in all, an anagram of etish.

No, i knew there was not going to be a full relaunch, but GMTV Today could at least have got brand new titles, and a modified theme. like the new astons though.

They wouldn't modify the theme, they know what happened last time!

This is exactly what I was expecting, its just certain members blew it out of all proportion!

I hope I'm not included in that. I know what people are like, and I knew there was not a huge relaunch, especially after only one year. But last night our insider told us there would be a new theme, there was for the newshour, but I was expecting a change to the main GMTV Today theme aswell. I don't particularly like GMTV, and I am not naive enough to think a huge great new look would have appeared.

As it goes though it looks to be a bit of a half-arsed job. The writing on the captions isn't as clear now when you're eyes are half-shut in the morning and the weather map looks like a botch job (though as mentioned they haven't had much time to test them out). All a bit pointless though.

I hate the newshour titles,how could they get rid of those fantastic red and blue ones? plus the new image behind the news presenter yuck. I have lost all faith in GMTV now. What a big disappointment, they should have kept things how they was. The red and blue news hour titles really suited the programme, and give it a good feeling, these are bad. As for the music, I do not know as my sound is broke on my computer.
