Richard Arnold actually said just before 8am this morning that they were in widescreen and joked "so there is more of me to go around". Only mention about widescreen so far.

And as we saw this morning Kate said about putting make up on for the people in the background. The background are rear-projection screens showing a LIVE feed of a camera looking out on houses. They are not however FAKE.

Hmm, red and beige with a real-time 'window' behind... Where have we seen that before? Is 'BBC Regional News Chic' in at the moment?

Also, is it just my telly, or is the clock juddering a bit around the edges?

I don't like the view out of the "Window" at all, it's not the kind of thing you want to look out on in the morning, and I'm not sure if it's my TV, the background, or the buildings themselves, but half of them seem to have a green tint.

They don't seem to have mastered everything yet though. The Competition images don't seen to have been re-made in Widescreen so they were simply enlarged, chopping off the top and bottom, making them partly unreadable.

I tried to upload a picture, but my FTP Server's down.

Looks like cardboard stuck into the window frame to me, and I'm sure in that same sentence Ben said "shame its not real" And well none of the trees are moving which seems a tad odd for outside if it was live camera shots.

However its much improved on the previous one.

I'm slightly disappointed they haven't got new music, I'm probably one of the very few that liked the short-lived new theme.

Can't wait to see the rest of the studio, it looks a lot bigger. The new lower sofa gets a thumbs up from me, it opens up more of the studio in certain shots. I like the extra space between the sofa and the desk/coffee table. The table itself is smaller which helps to bring in a feel of more space. A lot of thought has gone into it.

IMO it was badly needed, unlike the "Confused:Confused:Confused:Confused: WHERE IS THE NEW LOOK?? ExclamationExclamationExclamation" GMTV threads that keep popping up.

Confused

One side of the window looks like they are looking out on to a council estate.

Perhaps they are just trying to bring the programme closer to the typical audience demographic....

I think it looks cold, empty, and cheap. Again, we are back to the council estate comparison.

Don't think anyone else has said this, but that brown curvy 'bit' looks like its been nicked from the Trisha set!

I'm not impressed by the new look.I still feel they should have moved to the old London Tonight studio what a fantastic background .

I know Loose Women are in there at the moment but they could have moved them to somewhere else.

Goddamnit. I went to my main TV downstairs where the sky box is to have my breakfast, and i switched GMTV on, and it looks absolutely terrible on Channel TVs non-widescreen Sky Feed. It looks stretched and grainy. I ended up putting it on UTV, it was much better!

Maybe they could litter the studio with burnt out cars?

LOL

Well Richard Arnold looked like a drunken scaffolder who'd just drunk a keg of Harp, so they're getting there!

Richard Arnold in the studio?

Every council estate needs fags.
