We all wish for widescreen, but ITV News and GMTV doesnt seem to want to bother. The GMTV set would look good in widescreen. I hope there isnt a new look this September, just a new main ident, to fit in with the rest. If there is a new look, promos should go out in the last week of August.
GMTV is moving to London Tonight's old studio, currently Loose Women. It's all in the same block of studios, the old LWT building, I think, so it won't be that much of a move. I know Fiona is moving to set up a B&B in the south of France (reportedly), but I think we might see Eamonn for a few more years. I do sincerely hope that we see the return of the longer titles, with peoples' early morning routines, as the current titles look like they were shoved together at the last minute, as a replacement for something. I must say I don't watch GMTV any more, I much prefer Breakfast, because it has slightly more to do with current affairs.
BTW, should GMTV be in 'In the News', saying as it is, kind-of, a news-based programme?
How much of that is fact? I know that alot of people on the forum said that moving it to the old London Tonight studio would be a good move but I always thought that was speculation, they have been down there temporarialy once before I think.
Fiona has denyied the claim that she was moving to the South of France several times on air.

When will it be in the new studio? From September. They have a lot of work to do in less than a month, as Loose Women are still in their with their set! Its not possible in a few weeks is it?!
Hopefully if GMTV Changes, it takes Eamonn Holmes with it!

I saw patronising Penny on tv recently and she was saying how they all got on and there was no bitchieness yeah right Penny .Just ask Lara Logan that one or even the weather girl that was there briefly in summer 2000 Fiona soon got rid of her to much competition.

GMTV will go into widescreen because I remember last year John Stapleton saying that he got a person asking him when GMTV will be going widescreen and he said this year.
I hope if they do get a new studio ( hopefully the LT one ) they have separate area for the Newshour presented from a desk. And then a sofa area like the current one for ' Today ' .
