Couldn't agree more, GMTV know their audience and play to them.

Exactly, GMTV is aimed primarily at 30-50 year old females with young kids getting ready to go to school

This forum seems to be mainly 16-30 males at college, uni or working (or sitting around watching daytime tv all day!) so if you don't like it it is obviously not the show for you

Oh and I agree with Square Eyes as well, I also know which living room I'd rather be sat in!

This is going to sound too American but how about...

6am : Early Today
Yes my friends, similar to NBC's Early Today. A full 30mins of nationa and international news, sport, business and travel updates from your local regions.

6.30am : Good Morning Anglia/London/Yorkshire/Midlands ect
A full 30mins of local news, weather and that all important travel before you head out the door. Also includes a Main news update at :45

7am : TODAY
Lorraine Kelly, Andrew Castle and Penny Smith anchor the main mornings developments, key issues that matter to you and investigative reports.

8.45am : LK Today
Lorraine has all the gossip from the entertainment world, Richard Arnold's TV Picks and Lifestyle tips.

Sorry to go way off topic.

That is the other thing that is wrong with GMTV .. no imagination.. Almost all of their shows are called TODAY!

I mean, come on.. LK Today, GMTV Today, Entertainment Today. Give them time it'll be News Hour Today, News on the Hour Today..

However, seems a better format as posted above, but not everything "Today" in the title.

I'm sure those ideas would make the ratings reduce to about a half of what they are now, and the sunday idea would reduce advertising revenue to zero, so it would be lose lose all round

Why are people obsessed with making GMTV really newsy, I never recall people slagging off The Big Breakfast because there was hardly any news, and suggesting Phil Gayle should do extended bulletins from the Channel 4 News studio!
