Diggit started before the Disney Club finished.

Are you sure about that? I thought Diggit came along after Disney Club replacing the shows that had been on before. With Diggit running on both Saturdays and Sundays all year round. My memory isn't clear enough to remember when Disney club ended though so you could be right,

Right to clear this up...

The Disney Club was made by Scottish TV for ITV and aired on Sundays from 9:25-10:15am

On Saturdays (after Saturday Disney), GMTV aired Wake up In the Wild Room with Dave Benson Phillips (and later Gail Porter) which ended at 8:55 for Power Rangers.

On Sundays around the same time as the Wild Room aired Craig Doyle & Paul 'Des' Ballard hosted the Road Hog, which was based on the Disney Club (as Craig & Des hosted), and was all about a silver bus (with orange dots and a hog's face) going around the country to a different place on a sunday morning.

Craig Doyle left both Road Hog and the Disney Club.

Fearne Cotton was picked by the viewers of the Disney Club as a new presenter.

In early 1998, it was either January or February, GMTV asked for a replacement for the weekends that came in the form of DiGGiT, live from London on Saturdays 7:10-9:25 and pre recorded on Saturdays for Sunday Morning 8-9:25.

As Des & Fearne hadn't done any Live TV before as The Disney Club and roadhog were both pre recorded, and they hadn't worked with ear pieces or anything, Gail Porter opened the first show by starting outside the studios and running in doors and onto the inflatible sofa.

The Disney Club continued for a bit after this until CiTV started to go live on a sunday mornings, that occured shortly before Stephen & Dannielle arrived in May 1998.
And if my memory is right, the Disney Club ended with a sequence based on Take That's 'How Deep Is your Love' video with them all tied up on chairs.

The Disney Club titles had really happy music to them and a mad logo, though i think they got rid of these before it ended.

And the original DiGGiT titles, that I still can't find anywhere, and I'm sure I have them on video somewhere were great with Des & Fearne running in boiler suits on CSO supposedly through a town, then to the DiGGiT tower.

Wasn't a fan of the second ones where a was an actual town scene with all of the characters popping up.

I did quite like the September 2001 titles though where they also remixed the theme tune, when Laura & that other girl presented.

I'm not exactly sure, but I remember that CiTV was on Sundays before Stephen & Dannielle began in May 1998, though the Disney Club may have ended in 1997.

Well you've jogged my memory about the last Disney Club above, can't remember when it was but I had forgotten that it ran as a CiTV only show for a while.

Wasn't the Disney Club always CiTV, well itv only? As it started before GMTV began, didn't it?

It did used to be on before 1993 as an ITV only show, but in the early 90's it used to begin inside GMTV's hours and end outside at around 10.30. It was a definitely co-production too.

Being a presentation geek, I remember this simply for the fact that there was no 'See you tomorrow' caption at the end, instead there was a GMTV slide along with the other production slides (scottish TV/disney or whatever) at the end of the programme.

Maybe they could have studio disney on two channels! The line-up for saturdays could be:
6.00am Tots shows
7.10am Studio Disney
9.25am Angry Beavers or something
9.50am MoM
12.05pm-1.00pm CD:uk
I thrown a bit extra in!

I get your idea, but Studio Disney doesn't air at weekends unless it's a special occasion, like they usually air on Mothers and Fathers days, and they never air that early anyway. And Diggin'it is like an unlive Studio Disney with no interactive but with more sketches.

Plus CiTV takes over at 9:25, and they'd never start Ministry of Mayhem at 9:50, they'd lose half of their viewers straight away! If anything ITV would try and get GMTV to air more adverts within Diggin'it, or something and then either go straight over to CiTV, or have a shorter break, as that 5 minute-r takes the mick really!

I wonder if they've ever considered putting cd:uk on at 12, there's usually nothing on at 12:30 anyway (unless it's a grand prix weekend), but I wonder if they have thought about it.

Diggin' it is interactive a bit because there's that competition that has those phone number jingles like Oh..nine...oh! Fifty twennyeight doubleone doubleone! Oh..nine...oh! Fifty twennyeight doubleone doubleone!

The idea is that GMTV wants to do their own thing rather than getting Disney to produce a show for them, yet it will contain Disney and Fox Kids/Jetix programmes as Diggin'It and Up on the Roof currently do!

Indeed they have the phone in competitions, but then so do CiTV, and I wouldn't call them interactive anymore!
