are they gunna change the music at least i mean past 4 years they have had the same theme tune, i think its bout change.

They've had the same theme tune for longer than that, at least 8 years

There's nothing wrong with that, TV-AM and Good Morning Britain had the exact same theme and opening titles throughout the entire life of the broadcaster

I wonder what Fiona will have to say when she returns on Monday, back to school, first day of winter, all that sort of stuff I imagine

It's a shame GMTV didn't get London Tonight's studio after they switched from LNN to ITN in 2004, there's a clip of GMTV actually using the studio (on YouTube) somtime in 2001 and it looks rather nice.

When the hell are GMTV going to sort out these graphics. This is now the third year that we're going to have miss matched graphics and theme tunes and to be honest it looks dreadful! Are they going to change ANYTHING???????????

AIUI The London Tonight studio is a lot smaller than the GMTV space - and they would struggle to fit in the various different sets that they use for the LK Today, Entertainment Today, band performances etc.
(Apologies if I've got the names of the strands wrong - I seldom watch GMTV)

Interesting to read in the News Of The World online...

"Meanwhile we can reveal that Fiona’s decision to quit ITV1’s breakfast show comes after a ratings slump and internal research showing she is one of the LEAST popular stars.

The survey shows Lorraine Kelly is by far the viewers’ favourite, followed by Ben Shepherd, Kate Garraway and Penny Smith. "

I always thought Fiona wasent that bad, and had become part of the furniture of GMTV. I wonder if Lorriane has been asked.

She works two days a week, pre-recording Wednesday and Thursday's shows. I doubt she has the stamina or the interest in working more.

I wonder if Richard Arnold was the most disliked male on the GMTV team...

Penny Smith would be a great eplacement for Fiona, with Priya on the taking over on the News Hour.

I'd hope Richard was the most disliked. I use to think he was allright, but when he got his own show - No, never again.

Is that true, how do you know that? I always thought she was live. What would happen if breaking news broke during her show?

That maybe explains why they didnt mention the explosions on July 7th. I remember the breaking news appearing on screen, but Lorraine carried on with the modelling, or whatever they were doing that day.

Hmm, GMTV has a reputation as a company rife with bitching and lack of any respect for the management. anoilyrag's comments seem to confirm this.

It seems nothing actually gets done there. They churn out the same nonsense every morning because, when it comes down to it, no one is really all that bothered.
