Probably, most of that article anybody could have written!
I think they should go with a star from regional news, who is a rising star and likely to be cheaper than a national name. Kate Garraway came from Meridian did she not?

The Daily Mail are busy speculating in this article that it's between two Kates.

Not directly, she came from Sky News, although had worked at News 24 and Meridian prior to that.

I hope the bosses don't end up losing Kate as well by playing their stupid mind games and making her feel the job isn't hers.
She's a good presenter and like Fiona is a proper journalist (unlike the male presenters).
GMTV needs earth-shaking changes to its content and style now to survive in the long term. Not just presenter changes.

I think they should give it to Kate with Penny doing Thursdays and Fridays or even just Fridays OR recruit a new presenter for kates current job. Its no good just replacing Fiona because she is a hard act to follow and Kate has worked there for a long time now and should get the job. What is the point ion taking on a new presenter if the public may dislike them. I agree with the fact that she has journalistic experience and that should count!!!!!
CO
She is a freelancer, who has been seen mainly in the past few months reporting for ITV.

I think Jackie Kabler (GMTV reporter) would be a good choice maybe?!?!

I think she left and went to ITV News. I've seen her on there a few times, and she isn't on the GMTV Reporters page, so I think is no longer with GMTV.

I think Priya would be a good choice to take over Kate's job, shes not a complete stranger but it would still be a fresh face. Shes also a good presenter from what I've seen of her on the Newshour.

The speculation from the Daily Express is even more laughable than the Daily Mail version.
They've imaginitively gone for the name that is linked to every female presenting role, Mylene Klass.
Their other contenders are Konnie Huq, GMTV News Reporter Michelle Morrison, GMTV's Tiffany Royce and even Holly Willoughby.
