what i don't get with gmtv is they always say 'it's 7am across the UK' of course it is, we only have one time zone.
It sounds walm and friendly. Also, GMTV get quite a number of viewers from Europe, especially Spain (British holidaymakers) where they watch the show (usually illegally) and GMTV have mentioned this but they don't seem to mind!
Noticed this morning for Wales bulletins that Andrew Jones did 6:30am and 7:08am bulletins and Marie Claire Ceri Jones did 8:08am bulletin.
Andrew Jones was probably so ill he coudln't continue
This morning's GMTV ended silently, with a dedication to Jeremy King (IIRC) who had obviously recently passed away, and then the silence continued to the end "See you tomorrow..." graphic. Anyone know anything about Jeremy King?
Don't think this has been mentioned but I tuned in again this week to find that GMTV News in Northern Ireland has got a new look. Anyone know when this happened?
Here's some caps of the new "studio". The screen has quite a nice animation going on in the background:
And lastly, the new weather graphics. The new graphics are 3D; they start with an overhead shot and then zoom in under the clouds to show the map underneath:
Why is GMTV northern Ireland branded as that when gmtv midlands is branded as central news (i.e. as normal bulletins)
Because GMTV news in Norhern Ireland isn't provided by UTV Live (our "local ITV news"). It is provided by a separate company called Macmillan Broadcasting.
