Anyone any idea if we'll see any on-screen changes tomorrow when they (presumably) return to the studio? God they need it.

No on-screen changes this morning I'm afraid.

Why can't they be outside more often?
It was nice them being out on Monday (30/06). Great shot of Bens legs too at the TOTH at 8.

And does the clock usually disappear behind the titles like it did on Monday?

I liked them being outside simply for the fact that it was different.
I used to love the old ob stints for Get Up & Give, and Fun In The Sun, where they've now pretty much stayed on the sofa.

As for the titles and the clock, the clock is usually on top of everything except for regional news, which is something that I thought they may have implemented at some point.
The odd thing is that it was over the top of the hour GMTV sting, but not on top of the titles, and it looked quite nice as the titles wiped into the clock, and a lovely shot of London.

The reason GMTV was outside - and there was no regional news on ITV until the afternoon that day - is some engineering work in the switching room at ITV went very badly wrong ...

Did you intend that post as "BREAKING NEWS" ?

Suspect that's down to the clock being inserted at a different stage of the broadcast chain for Monday's programme. It might have been that the titles were played out by ITV Leeds rather than the OB truck, and the clock was added to the OB output, wheras in normal circumstances everything comes via the GMTV studio gallery.

Breaking news? Um, no ...

I didn't read more than a few pages back so sorry if it had already been posted. You were just all chatting along as if it hadn't happened so I assumed nobody knew.

Oh well, I'll consider myself officially repremanded by TV Forum's Sarcastic Police Force ...

(I'll add as an aside that as a long-time user of this forum, and someone who has taken a break and come back, I find this whole put-everything-in-one-thread terribly difficult to navigate ...)

I've noticed this for a while now but why has LK Today ditched it's own on screen graphics (split screen, name strap)? It's using the same graphics as the main programmes. Does anyone know the reason for this change?

No idea, but they've cut back on that ridiculous theme tune going into/coming back from ad breaks.

Yeh, but isn't that just for the summer?

The Sunday Programme is being axed - last show 20 July.

There are some cryptic comments in the ITV News thread about ITN doing new things at new times, so I suspect some announcement about GMTV News and ITV News being integrated may be in the offing.
