In Wales its usually the GMTV presenter who does both the 11.10 and the 1.55.

One of the 6pm presenters often stays on to do the late bulletin.

I wonder if this is anything to do with the electrical spikes a few weeks ago that took out the network.

My local ITV West news girly said on the evening show that the next west news would be at 11.10 tomorrow. So I'll believe her this once. Smile

GMTV is coming from a different studio (conservatory) this morning due to maintenance.

The explanation given is that they are "outside due to engineering work". You would think they could've rented some space in TVC for the day if the whole of TLS is out of action for a few hours.

They had problems with reports also:

EDIT 2:
Well, they've not decamped very far as they are at Gabriel's Wharf as shown in the titles to GMTV Today at 7am:

They picked the right day for it really with the weather being as nice as it is.

The conservatory look worked quite well this morning I think although I don't think it would have worked so well if it wasn't sunny. They should try something similar when they finally get a new studio.

I thought it looked very cheap and badly lit. Until I could make out the location, I thought that they were on an OB from someone's house. Thank goodness it was only a temporary measure.

I actually liked it. If the set was obviously a bit bigger, it would look much better. I loved seeing the people walking around going to work etc, it looked lovely. I even liked the 8am TOTH, they picked a nice day for it didn't they? Very Happy
