Yes, relaunch is official
Yes, graphics and set being looked at.
Yes, it's expected to be a a dog's dinner, like previous attempts, because management are split on what they want, and the people who have been charged to oversee it have no experience in doing it before.
Bitter? Ask me a question.

Why are management split? Is just about the look, or about the content too?

I think content wise, things seem ok as they are. I have definatly noticed a different in the past year or so. In their annual review thing, they are looking at including more news (i think).
I cant see them going down the NBC TODAY way of doing things. Although it would probably be better if it just all become visually GMTV instead of Newshour, Today, LK etc.

Jenni Falconer this morning on ET:
"If ITV can spend £15 million on a drama series, they up our wages at least"
Has somebody been mis-informed? (or are the GMTV staff paid by ITV plc, which would be odd??)

GMTV staff are paid by "GMTV Limited".

..as a subsidiary, but in essence and legally not by ITV plc. There are holding companies etc. The employer as far as HMRC is concerned will be 'GMTV Ltd'.
