Maybe they should think about doing what they do in the US, have random chats or a feature on something boring during the local news incase it fails, but i hear that GMTV has to make sure everyone gets the local news, i mean that the regions cant reject to air local news?

But then they'd have nothing else left to show during the networked programme
Strange this new regional news at 8.35 mallarkey.. it looks so awkward when opting back to GMTV Today just for them to say goodbye and hand to over to Lorraine. Weird.
Remember up until a few years ago the Regional News did used to be at 6.15am, 6.45am (now 6.35am), 7.35am and 8.35am, but it's a bit strange they've reverted back to the old times during GMTV Today.

Did they used to have an 8:35 bulletin, I've never remembered it before.
It does make GMTV Today flow better instead of going regional at 8:05, or something.
I think Monday's handling was the best, if it was actually done correctly.
They had a chap talking about Ben's boxing from Friday, and then Fiona quickly said '...on that note here's the news where you are.' or something along those lines, and then they went straight into Lorraine coming back from the news. If they'd have actually said before going regional... 'That's all from us this morning Lorraines here in a few minutes with (input guest/feature), but first here's the news where you are', it would have worked, and alot better than the sounds of them coming back on just to say 'see you tomorrow, here's Lorraine.'
