I like the idea of the "First Edition" hour long news......the GMTV news hour is NO different from the rest of the GMTV Today show......why do they bother. They have real big news stories and a live interview has to be cut short because Cheggars is about to scare the s*%t out of someone...........this cant be taken as a serious news hour show?

I think The News Hour needs sorting out, I only tend to watch GMTV for the Granada News if I'm up early, otherwise for me it's Breakfast. But it doesn't live up to the title. If I put TNH on at 6.30am then it's usually a 5 minute News summary; that's fine, then a competition and pointless banter, then the Regional News, get your flipping priorities right GMTV! Though I think John and Penny are great presenters, it's just the format.
If I have to be in work at 7.00am (which I am a fair bit now) then I prefer watching the News, not pointless banter, competitions and stuff for middle aged Daily Mail women readers, the 6-6.30am slot on Breakfast does the job for me, as does Sunrise on Sky News, it does serious albeit relaxed.

I hate BBC NEWS and Breakfast, GMTV is what I'll always watch, 'Britain's Biggest Breakfast Show'
